The Connecticut Association of School Librarians (CASL) has managed to stay “off the radar”, but a look around their website and activities reveals they are one of the central figures in childrens’ education.
CASL has an annual conference, holds various workshops (some online), and has an off-shoot group called CT Technology Users Group (CTTUG). That group is focused on the increased use and mastery of artificial intelligence.
The regional liaisons for some school districts can be found here.
CASL also posted a video regarding Banned Books week. Librarians commiserated over the increasing parental challenges; at least one described circumventing efforts to suppress material.
Parents should be aware that public school librarians are not neutral in the culture clash.
